At Natus, our Production Team is responsible for the manufacturing of EEG, EMG Capital Equipment Systems, Kits and Supplies. The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for managing production activities relating to the manufacture of EEG and EMG Capital Equipment Systems. As well as being responsible for all personnel and manufacturing activities, the Production Manager will have the responsibility for optimizing the process flows and efficiencies while reporting on progress to the top-level management team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join an expanding company and team in a key role as part of our Manufacturing Team working on Neuro products.
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and manage production activities related to the manufacture of EEG and EMG Capital Equipment Systems, Kits, and Supplies. In this key leadership role, you will oversee personnel, optimize process flows, drive efficiency improvements, and report directly to top-level management.
What you’ll get to do in this role:
1. Ensure team members are trained in and adhere to all Quality System procedures, particularly those impacting product quality and customer satisfaction.
2. Drive continuous improvement using Lean Daily Management methodologies.
3. Mentor and support direct reports through regular team meetings and one-on-one sessions.
4. Foster a collaborative, positive team culture that promotes morale and cohesion.
5. Implement safety, health, environment, and quality requirements across the department.
6. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and alignment with project requirements.
Delivery & Operations:
1. Lead production teams to meet and exceed targets for multi-product lines.
2. Oversee production planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring.
3. Support the introduction of new products into manufacturing processes.
4. Proactively address production issues, ensuring strategic decisions improve productivity and efficiency.
5. Manage production reports and the release of Engineering Change Orders.
Cost & Quality Management:
1. Monitor and address scrap levels, highlighting trends and implementing corrective measures.
2. Optimize overtime allocation within agreed targets.
3. Ensure high levels of GMP/GDP compliance through team engagement and accountability.
4. Maintain robust systems and procedures to continually improve operating practices.
Process Improvements:
1. Regularly review product and process flows to enhance productivity and efficiency.
2. Inspire and empower the team to generate and implement process improvement ideas.
What we are looking for:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing/operations within the Medical Device Industry.
3. Proven expertise in implementing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
4. Strong production scheduling and resource optimization capabilities.
5. Proficiency in PC applications, particularly Excel, with the ability to analyze data.
6. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
7. Leadership and team motivation expertise.
