Recruiting for Events Executive to join our Sales & Events Department.
The Role
* Coordinates events from proposal through to event fulfilment.
* Communicates with hotel departments and customer to ensure consistent high-level service throughout from pre-event, event, and post event phase.
* Manages function space and room block inventory to maximize hotel profit.
* Ensures hotel and client fulfill group contractual commitments.
* Recognizes opportunities to maximize revenue opportunities by up-selling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events.
About You
* Strong command of the English Language
* Previous experience of events in a 5-star hotel or equivalent relevant experience, at least 2 years preferable
* Excellent Customer Service
* Welcoming friendly personality and manner
* Polished and professional demeanour at all times
* Ability to prioritise and organise work
* Effective sales skills to up-sell products and services
* Knowledge of menu planning, food presentation, and banquet and event service operations
* Ability to manage guest room and meeting space inventories
* Strong customer development and relationship management skills
* Knowledge of Event Technology products and services
* Strong attention to detail is required
* Knowledge of contract management
* Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Opera Sales & Catering
