Job Description
The Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in the daily management and coordination of site operations, ensuring compliance with all labour, safety, environmental and corporate policies and regulations.
Main Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day production operations, ensuring output meets quality and efficiency targets.
* Assist the Production Planner in implementing production schedules, guaranteeing on-time delivery of products to customers.
* Manage, motivate and develop the production team to achieve performance and productivity goals.
* Implement and monitor KPIs to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
* Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, SHEQ and Quality teams to streamline operations.
Key Performance Indicators
* Maximise daily production while maintaining high-quality standards.
* Develop and implement transport policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
* Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety in the workplace.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reductions, and waste minimization.
Requirements
* At least 3 years recent experience working at a management level within the manufacturing industry.
* Proven hands-on experience of continuous improvement methodologies / manufacturing best practice.
* Able to prioritise and make decisions promptly.
* Strong people management skills.
* Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and other systems.
