Data Center Scholarship TUD & DIFE Students
DESCRIPTION
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is growing rapidly, and has opportunities for Internships in our Data Center Operations team. This role is for scholarship students at TUD and DIFE taking part in the AWS Data Center Operations course. Internships are 14 weeks in length. Amazon does not sponsor for immigration for this role; applicants must hold long term right to work at the time of application.
As an Intern, you will collaborate with experienced Amazon Data Technicians; following them during hardware and network troubleshooting. You will have the opportunity to provide our internal workforce with infrastructure related support, resolving tickets related to HW (Motherboard, RAM, CPU, GPU, etc.) and networking tickets (Link Down, Optics Replacements, Switch Replacements, etc.). At all times you will be assisting an AWS experienced Data Technician.
Key job responsibilities:
1. Hardware troubleshoot in servers which are not live with AWS Data Techs supervision
2. Understand the importance to meet SLA's against assigned trouble tickets
3. Follow the AWS Data Techs during network troubleshooting
4. Replace Media (SSD/HDD) according to AWS Data Tech guidance
5. Perform regular server hardware repairs (drives, motherboards, etc.) under the guidance of experienced techs
6. Interact with third party vendors & contractors who are working on site
In addition, all candidates should be willing to work both independently and with a team. Work prioritization, organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to react quickly are critical to being successful.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Are 18 years of age or older
- Current student on AWS Data Center Scholarship course at TUD or DIFE
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems
