Unilin is currently looking to recruit a part-time Rigid and/or Artic Truck Driver to be based from our Plant in Navan. Reporting to the Group Procurement Manager, this role involves the safe and efficient transport of product, adhering to delivery schedules, and maintaining high standards of vehicle care. Candidates must possess a valid truck driving license, a strong understanding of road safety regulations, and proven experience in a similar role.
Key Attributes:
1. Must be a current holder of a full C Driver’s Licence.

3. Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
4. Ability to work proactively on own initiative.
5. Forklift Experience.
6. Previous exposure to Warehouse Systems.
7. Self-motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to meet deadlines.
8. Be a team player working with others to achieve company goals.
Key Tasks and Duties:
1. To carry out your work in a legal and safe manner and comply with Company’s Health and Safety policy.
2. Ensure Work Instructions, Operating Procedures, ISO Procedures are adhered to and all relevant documentation is completed, e.g., returns.
3. Unload and load your own Rigid in a safe and timely manner.
4. Ensure the truck is in good, safe and clean working condition showing tax, insurance and DOE certs.
5. Ensure Daily vehicle checks are completed and recorded.
6. Look after the truck & trailer, avoiding driving in inappropriate conditions, e.g., overgrown lanes.
7. Inform your manager about any concerns regarding the roadworthy condition of the truck or trailers, e.g., tyres, lights.
8. Drive the truck in a fuel-efficient manner. Accurately record the use of diesel at the pump. Fuel card must not be used for any other purpose.
9. Ensure compliance with RSA rules & guidelines on operating Tachograph equipment and downloads. Renew your Digital Card within RSA guidelines.
10. Accurately and fully complete your weekly time sheet and submit it in a timely manner to the Procurement office for wage approval.
11. Ensure proper documentation accompanies each delivery, with dockets signed by an authorized person and returned to the Company.
12. Know routes and traffic to ensure deliveries are done as quickly and efficiently as possible.
13. Minimize personal use of Company mobile phones.
14. Work closely with Quality personnel to ensure all products meet Company’s quality and customer specifications.
15. Assist in the training of new Drivers or warehouse personnel.
16. Participate and engage in any training deemed relevant to your job, such as Safe Pass.
17. Inform your manager of any penalty points or convictions applied to your Driving license.
18. Make yourself available for emergency deliveries like Saturdays and holidays.
19. Assist in warehouse & site whenever possible – when the truck is off the road or no loads are available, and assist other departments as requested.
20. Assist with ad hoc administration duties where required.
21. Tasks may require flexible working hours and you may be asked to travel to our other sites from time to time.
