Our client are seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team in Kerry.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Estimator will ensure projects are costed appropriately and accurately.
Working within a team, the Estimator will ensure that high quality is achieved and attention to detail is a priority, and that work is completed within agreed timelines. The Estimator will support the growth of the company by taking responsibility for numerous varied aspects of the estimating function with a specific focus on Modular products.
Responsibilities
* Prepare cost analysis based on the architectural drawings, engineering estimates, materials & labour requirement. Including preparation of enquiry packages to issue to suppliers for quote
* Provide accurate, detailed quotes for projects, negotiating & agreeing terms on behalf of the organisation
* Develop and maintain library of rates / costs for standard modular products
* Liaise with architects, engineers & main contractors during tender stage
* Undertake responsibility of project tenders, liaising with clients from enquiry to award stage
* Valuation and tracking of variations / dayworks on large scale projects
* Build & maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and consultants
* Work to a high level of confidentiality
* Ensure compliance with ISO9001 and EN1090
Requirements
* Proven estimating experience within industry (or similar type work)
* Attention to detail is paramount and ability to understand technical drawings
* Practical knowledge of steel materials
* Demonstrable experience in working with architectural metalworks
* Proficient in MS Office, in particular Excel, Word & Outlook
