Main Responsibilities
A cyber project manager to work with the programme team and manage detailed project plans for programme work streams. A summary of required experience and skills:
· Prior experience project managing cyber security projects
· Good working knowledge of waterfall and agile project management
· Good communications, organisation and stakeholder management skills
· Solid understanding of managing and maintaining project RAID logs
· Capable of providing succinct project status reports for multiple stakeholders
· Plan and develop the project from ideation through to implementation
· Ensure stakeholder satisfaction at all times
· Day to day you will be involved in working within an agile team ensuring project overall delivery in an agile working environment
· You will monitor project progress, review user stories and acceptance criteria and set deadlines, investigate, evaluate and make recommendations for improvements to project processes and drive the team to deliver
· Work closely with other software development teams (internal and external), tech architects and business owners to refine requirements and translate business needs into IT solutions and make sure projects are sequenced as a programme of work
· Liaise with management across the business to ensure there is always an approach of continuous improvement and implementation of best practice
· Effectively document and surface relevant information
· Remove blockers to ensure project success in a pro-active manner
· Manage risks, issues, deadlines, dependencies and be able to present up to date status reports at any time
· Work with the Infrastructure team (and other teams as needed) to ensure the functional and non-functional requirements are known and are properly supported, fit for purpose, and kept up to date
· Create a supportive and rewarding working environment that aligns with the company culture as well as instilling a sense of ownership, accountability and technical excellence in your team driving efficient processes and constantly push engineering best practice
· Monitor efficiency of resource use and team productivity
· Develop a thorough understand of our industry and our products and services
· Regular progress reporting, defining and reporting KPIs and key objective/result metrics including helping your team define, drive and achieve their objectives and key results
· Keep stakeholders up to date on all activities that affects their individual goals and be a point contact for work status
· Continual focus on long term effectiveness, simplicity of solutions and appropriate controls
· Estimate projects and tasks, working closely with technical and business teams as needed
· Ensure the quality of any third-party deliveries against requirements, liaising with outsourced partners as necessary
· Be able to act as an authoritative voice-of-customer representative as needed
· Be capable of line management of team members - support recruiting, mentoring, developing, inspiring and retaining great people for your team as needed
· Expert at budget & effort management and reporting, tracking team costs, cost of work- packages, efficiency, work in progress etc.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· 5+ years demonstrable PM Cyber Security experience within a regulated environment
· Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field
· Knowledge of Banking Project Management
· Ability to implement projects and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
· Perform detailed and critical analysis of various parts of our ecosystem as required, provide clear and concise feedback and make efficient suggestions for improvement
· Foresee and communicate potential problems before they arise
· Strong customer service mentality with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels
· Strong motivational and people skills, helping team members to excel in a culture of collaboration and openness
· Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced enterprise level environment
· Strong communication skills, both oral and written with proven ability to influence change.
· You should be able to communicate clearly and with purpose, working effectively with team members and stakeholders across the organisation
· Clear ability to run and manage processes efficiently, including change processes, aligning with other teams as needed
· Able to deliver objectives assigned to you with a strong sense of urgency
· Always maintain a high bar of quality and have pride in doing work well to high engineering standards
· Drive and support innovation in a pragmatic and effective way to meet the needs of the business
· Passionate about building high-quality systems with meticulous attention to detail
· Ability to follow and improve process, and improve your skills on an ongoing basis
· Totally fluent in Agile/Scrum, Waterfall
· Take ownership of your work and responsibility for outcomes delivering key projects
· Work closely with leadership and peers to create product roadmaps, estimate work packages and set priorities for your teams
