In this role, you’ll leverage your expertise in Solidworks and mechanical engineering to streamline existing products, minimize non-value-added activities, and contribute to exciting new projects. You’ll play a crucial role in enhancing our processes, ensuring product quality, and supporting our journey towards ISO accreditation. Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for giving necessary briefings to the Engineering Manager on the status of assigned projects and working to pre-agreed time frames.
* Support the engineering design requirement for the product in line with current legislation and in new product development.
* Verifying the quality and performance of the product in addition to troubleshooting the rectification of any existing errors or defects, analysing the product under various working conditions and confirming that the product delivers its promise to the customer.
* Generate and maintain drawings using 3D Software (Solidworks), ensuring any issues are resolved before the next batch is processed.
* Participate in the production team to help make necessary improvements and changes to all process-related issues with the aim being to reduce all forms of waste within the process.
* Development and enhancement of new and existing SOPs and SWPs in line with the company’s plan to get ISO Accreditation.
Requirements:
* Mechanical Engineering Degree to Level 8 Accreditation and 5 years post-graduate experience.
* Solidworks experience of 5 years post-graduate.
* Previous post-graduate experience using Finite Element Analysis software.
* Working knowledge of a Data management system such as Sage or equivalent Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
* Proven work experience in a high-paced manufacturing environment.
* Previous experience of CAD BOM (Bill of Material) generation.
* Good investigative and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Decision-making ability coupled with the ability to work independently and proactively.
Job type: Permanent, Full Time
