We are currently recruiting for a Breakfast Chef to join our Kitchen Team in The Spencer Hotel.
As part of the MHL Hotel Collection, The 4* Spencer Hotel is in a prime location overlooking the River Liffey in the heart of Dublin's financial district. Home to 209 guest bedrooms, 6 Meeting rooms, The Spencer Cocktail Bar & East Restaurant, we create a whole new dining experience in the IFSC. Our Kitchen team have used modernist techniques and artistry to put together an impressive menu that is a fabulous blend of European & Asian cuisine.
Located within 10 minutes' walk from O'Connell Street, with easy access to Connolly & Dublin Docklands Dart & commuter train stations, with the Luas and Dublin Bus services also within minutes' walk from the Hotel.
This is an exciting role for enthusiastic chefs who want to develop themselves with an established Kitchen team and a well-recognised hotel group.
The Ideal candidate will:
* Have similar work experience as Commis or Chef de Partie Chef Level.
* Be enthusiastic and vibrant in their outlook & cooking.
* Have a willingness to learn and develop their career further.
* Have a proven ability to manage their work time accordingly.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Have an excellent understanding & comply with all HACCP regulations.
* Flexibility to work shifts - especially breakfast, weekends, and bank holidays.
Main responsibilities:
* Ensure every breakfast service is being prepped and served as per company standard.
* Adhere to all health and safety policies.
* Support the kitchen team and create effective working relationships with colleagues and managers.
* Be flexible with regard to working hours in order to handle any unexpected requirements.
* Work as part of the Kitchen team to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen, ensuring the standards of cuisine and hygiene are maintained.
* Prepare all ingredients for service to the required standard, ensuring no wastage.
* Ensure all special requests made by guests are met.
* Prepare dishes to the required specifications.
* Ensure all goods are stored correctly and hygienically in accordance with HACCP specifications.
* Promote a positive working atmosphere at all times.
