Based in Harold’s Cross in Palliative Care
The Senior Occupational Therapist will work in conjunction with the Occupational Therapist Manager in ensuring the coordination, development and delivery of a quality, client-centred Occupational Therapy Service to meet the needs of the service user group and the objectives of the organisation. The Senior Occupational Therapist will be responsible for the provision of a high standard Occupational Therapy service in a designated area and will carry out clinical and educational duties as assigned by the Occupational Therapist Manager. The successful candidate will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Essential Requirements
Qualification:
1. Be registered on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU or satisfy the conditions set out in Section 91.
Experience:
1. 3 years post qualification clinical experience with 1-year experience working in palliative care.
Desirable Requirements
Qualification:
1. Membership of the Association of Occupational Therapists of Ireland (AOTI) and/or equivalent Occupational Therapy professional body.
2. Membership of a relevant AOTI Advisory Group.
3. Post graduate training/qualifications in Palliative Care.
Experience:
1. Experience in the professional supervision of Staff Grade Occupational Therapists and/or Occupational Therapy Assistants.
2. Participation in regular standards setting, outcome measurement, clinical audit and research.
