**Job Title:** Maintenance Planner
In our Blarney site, we're seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner to join our team. If you're passionate about ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment, this could be your dream role.
The Role: As a Maintenance Planner, you'll be responsible for proactively planning maintenance work at our Blarney site. This includes preparing job plans and packs, prioritizing tasks, allocating resources, minimizing downtime, and continuously improving our Work Management System (WMS).
Duties:
* Assess and prioritize work requests/orders on the WMS (SAP Next): Evaluate and justify work requests, ensuring they align with our priorities and business goals.
* Maintain adherence to WMS stages: Ensure all stages of preventative maintenance and calibration activities are followed consistently.
* Enhance the WMS process as needed: Identify opportunities for improvement and develop solutions to optimize our maintenance workflow.
* Schedule planned downtime with Operations: Collaborate with production and planning teams to schedule downtime effectively, minimizing disruptions.
* Develop job plans and resource estimates: Create detailed plans outlining what needs to be done, how it will be done, and the necessary resources required.
* Support equipment asset management: Assist in adding new equipment to the SAP system, including tags, calibration frequencies, and ranges.
* Review and improve work order durations: Analyze work order durations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
* Implement Continuous Improvement initiatives: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement CI plans, driving efficiency and productivity gains.
* Ensure resource availability: Verify that all necessary resources are allocated and available before releasing work orders.
* Develop shutdown plans: Create detailed plans for maintenance shutdowns, working closely with maintenance supervisors and the full team.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with quality, EHS, and engineering teams to achieve maintenance and business objectives.
* Support SOP development and review: Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating maintenance standard operating procedures (SOPs).
* Audit participation: Represent the maintenance team to ensure compliance with quality standards.
* KPI tracking and analysis: Participate in developing and tracking departmental KPIs, such as schedule attainment, labor utilization, and PM/calibration completion rates.
* Maintenance contract management: Assist in managing maintenance contracts and contractors.
* Equipment data analysis: Analyze equipment data to report on performance metrics.
* Vendor service contract management: Support the development and review of vendor service contracts and raise purchase requisitions as needed.
About You:
* Trades qualification or Engineering/Science degree: Possess relevant education or equivalent experience.
* Minimum 3+ years of experience in manufacturing: Preferably within the medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry.
* Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control systems: Proven understanding of these systems in a production environment.
* ATEX experience an advantage: Previous experience working in ATEX environments is desirable.
* High performance history: Demonstrated ability to execute and achieve results.
* Cross-functional collaboration: Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
* SAP Next Maintenance Management System experience: Preferable experience with SAP Next.
* Reliability Excellence (Rx) and proactive maintenance knowledge: Familiarity with predictive, precision, and design for maintainability/reliability approaches.
* Quality and Environmental Health and Safety awareness: Excellent understanding of quality and EHS principles.
