Your new company
As Legal Assistant, you will join an educational, regulatory, and representative body for Legal working professionals in Ireland, working in the Regulatory Legal Services Section of the Regulation Department. Your new office is located in Dublin City and is accessible via public transport, however you will have a hybrid work model after your training is completed. Your new company requires you to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
As Legal Assistant, your duties mainly involve providing administrative, secretarial and litigation support to the executive team in the Regulatory Legal Services Section. Your duties will include, but are not limited to general copy & Dictaphone typing, updating and maintaining file and case management system, preparing court books and books for tribunal hearings, building briefs for counsel, making arrangements for and filing affidavits, submissions and books of court/tribunal documents to meet court/tribunal deadlines, making arrangements for the service of documents and for the swearing of affidavits, assisting executive at meetings, managing queries, document drafting, carrying our legal research, minuting meetings and all general administrative duties.
What you'll need to succeed
To become Legal Assistant, you will have recent relevant experience with a good knowledge of the regulatory system for solicitors in Ireland along with experience working in a regulatory, legal or other professional environment. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to carry out accurate work under strict timelines is essential. Strong IT skills, including MS Suite is required along with the ability to work off your own initiative as well as working as part of a team.
