Payroll Accounting Specialist
We are seeking a highly organized and adaptable Payroll Accounting Specialist to support our Payroll and Finance teams across multiple regions. This role involves preparing transactional and accrual journal entries, reconciling payroll-related general ledger (GL) accounts, conducting payroll data audits, and assisting with ad-hoc finance projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage month-end close activities, including preparing payroll-related journal entries, accruals, and adjustments, in compliance with company policy and accounting standards.
* Perform reconciliations of key payroll-related balance sheet accounts and manage open items.
* Collaborate with business partners (e.g., Tax, FP&A, RTR) for reporting and analysis.
* Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate data.
* Assist with SOX controls, process improvements, and standard operating procedures (SOP) updates.
* Lead and participate in ad-hoc finance projects and systems testing.
* Provide support to Payroll Specialists and work closely with outsource providers for local compliance.
Requirements:
* Qualified Accountant or equivalent accountancy qualification with a strong understanding of global payroll and finance functions in a multinational setting.
* Proven experience in Accounting, Finance, or Payroll roles.
* Proficiency in Oracle/SAP and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
* Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
* Ability to handle ambiguity and engage with multiple stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
