Access to Care Advisor - UPMC Aut Even - Full Time Contract 4-6 weeks

Overview of role:
This specific purpose contract role is for an Access to Care Administration Advisor to work across both our admissions and reception at UPMC Aut Even Hospital. We are looking for a full-time individual, available for 39 hours per week for 4-6 weeks. Our admissions shift pattern is between 7am & 6pm Monday to Friday and our weekend shift hour requirement is between 9am-6pm. We are looking for someone available immediately with previous administration experience. Previous experience working in the healthcare sector would be an advantage.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Work across our hospital administration functions including: Admissions, Switch (Call Handling) and Outpatient Reception.
2. Be responsible for admitting all patients in a timely and courteous manner.
3. Be responsible for cash handling, and end of day balancing.
4. Handle all queries with the wider team.
5. Multitask in a demanding role working with a wider team.
6. Have knowledge of multiple systems, and manage a busy workload.
7. Maintain excellent attention to detail, and use the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
8. Ensure confidentiality of patient information at all times.
9. Have excellent communication skills to work within a busy team.
10. Liaise with other teams to ensure safe handling of records at all times.
11. Complete regular audits as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. 12 months experience in a similar role or healthcare setting.
2. Business/Secretarial Qualification.
3. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
4. Experience of healthcare systems including iPims desirable.
