Overview:
The Brehon Hotel & Spa is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Weddings & Events Assistant to join our dynamic team. This full-time role is perfect for an individual with a passion for customer service and event coordination, looking to explore and develop a career in the wedding and events industry. As a Wedding & Events Assistant, you will provide support in the planning, coordination, and execution of weddings and events, ensuring that every detail aligns with our guests' expectations. This position offers opportunities for growth, with the potential to develop into a Weddings & Events Coordinator role as you gain experience and expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in the planning and execution of weddings, corporate events, and private functions at The Brehon Hotel & Spa.
* Liaise directly with clients to ensure their requirements and preferences are met.
* Support the Weddings & Events Manager/Coordinator with event timelines, room setups, and supplier coordination.
* Oversee the seamless operation of events on the day, ensuring everything runs according to plan.
* Assist with client meetings, show-rounds, and site visits.
* Manage event logistics, including seating plans, menus, and decor arrangements.
* Respond to client inquiries and assist with any special requests or requirements.
* Handle administrative tasks such as processing event bookings, updating client files, and preparing event documentation.
* Ensure the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction are upheld at all times.
* Work closely with other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations (e.g., catering, housekeeping, and front desk).
Skills & Qualifications:
* Previous experience in event coordination or hospitality is a plus but not essential.
* Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.
* A proactive, can-do attitude with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Flexible and willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
* A keen eye for detail and a desire to ensure every event exceeds client expectations.
