Role - HSE Manager
Location - Ireland
Mint Selection are partnered with a leading EPC who are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to join them on a 12 month contract to oversee the delivery of a large scale Solar PV project in Ireland. The HSE Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust health, safety, and environmental systems to ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies, and industry best practices. This position is key to promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility, mitigating risks, and ensuring the well-being of all project personnel throughout the solar farm's construction, commissioning, and operational phases.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures.
2. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
3. Lead safety meetings and training sessions for all site personnel.
4. Investigate incidents and accidents, and implement corrective actions.
5. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to integrate safety into all project phases.
6. Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, incidents, and compliance issues.
7. Ensure that all safety equipment is properly maintained and used.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in the renewable energy or construction sector.
3. Strong leadership and communication skills.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
5. Certification in safety management is a plus.
6. Must be willing to be on 5 days per week.
