Automation Maintenance Engineer
PE Global is currently recruiting for Ireland's largest Renewable Energy Business Unit. This permanent position will be based at Edenderry, Co. Offaly and will report to the Maintenance Manager.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Automation Maintenance function to achieve maximum plant availability, efficiency, and safe systems of work.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure maintenance plans and targets for the team are achieved safely, economically, and within environmental limits.
* All maintenance functions carried out under site-specific safety rules.
* Recording of Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks into the maintenance management system.
* Modify Distributed Control System (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) automation systems as required.
* Update control systems on electrical drawings, DCS drawings, and inform appropriate personnel.
* Carry out emissions monitoring system maintenance in line with procedures to ensure maximum reliability.
* Install new instruments as required and modify Distributed Control System or other plant control SCADA systems.
* Carry out modification to PLC controllers in response to changes to plant & equipment or operating philosophy.
* Manage the automation maintenance team and liaise with other Plant teams to achieve objectives.
Requirements:
* Third-level engineering qualification and/or relevant process experience.
* A minimum of 3-4 years' experience in a similar role.
* Experience in Maintenance of heavy process industry or power plants.
* Excellent IT skills, with a strong knowledge of Maintenance Management systems.
* Ability to manage a small team of technicians.
