Base pay range
Our client is a leading printing company specialising in high-quality print solutions for various industries. They pride themselves on delivering exceptional service and products to their clients. We are assisting them in looking for a meticulous and organized Production Planner to join their dynamic team.
The Production Planner will be responsible for coordinating and planning the production schedule to meet customer demands while optimising resources and ensuring timely delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience in production planning, preferably in the printing industry, and will be adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm

Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders.
* Coordinate with the sales team to forecast production needs based on customer demand.
* Allocate resources effectively, including labour, materials, and machinery.
* Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate delays or changes in priorities.
* Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and supplies.
* Conduct a weekly meeting with manager in the business of the planning for the week.
* Analyse production data to identify and resolve bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
* Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.
* Communicate production schedules and updates to relevant departments and stakeholders.
* Prepare reports on production performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
Key Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Production Management, Business Administration, or a related field would be admired.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning, preferably in the printing industry.
* Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
* Familiarity with ERP systems used in production planning.
* Knowledge of quality control standards and safety regulations in the printing industry.
* Strong understanding of production processes and resource management.
* Proficiency in production planning software and tools.
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
