**Senior Quantity Surveyor Role at a Leading Contractor**
Cork-based construction company seeks an experienced Senior QS to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyse blueprints and documentation to prepare cost estimates.
* Agree final accounts and negotiate with sub-contractors.
* Manage project costs, exploring variances and resolving issues.
* Report on actual costs and examine estimates used by management.
* Prepare cost statements and other necessary documentation.
* Assess the cost-effectiveness of products, projects, or services.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying.
* At least 5 years of experience in quantity surveying.
* Proficiency in estimating packages, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
About the Role:
The successful applicant will be working on a mix of projects from residential, industrial, education, and fit-out. They will be based in the client's head office, approximately 30 minutes north-west of Cork City.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cost management, tender BOQ estimating, and budgeting. They should be able to work effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality results.
