The Role
The CFO will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and business of West Cork Distillers. You'll lead all financial operations, provide insight-driven leadership across the business, and support decision-making that drives sustainable growth and long-term value.
This is more than just numbers, you'll be an influential leader across the business, helping us align our operations, grow our branded sales, and refine our global distribution strategy.
Strategic Finance
* Develop and implement robust financial strategies, policies and controls to maintain long-term sustainability
* Support the CEO and the Board of Directors in strategic planning and decision making, developing robust financial analysis and identifying opportunities for driving efficiencies and revenue growth
* Lead and oversee all financial operations for West Cork Distillers and its subsidiaries ensuring alignment with the mission and objectives across Spirit Production, Branded Sales, Contract Bottling and Ingredients
Financial Planning, Reporting and Analysis
* Provide accurate and timely updates and reports to the CEO and Board of Directors ensuring clarity and transparency
* Work with the finance team to prepare and manage budgets, forecasts and cash flow models to optimise resource allocation
* Oversight of day-to-day accounting functions ensuring accuracy in all financial records, reports and transactions
Leadership and Development
* Provide mentoring and leadership to finance team members, promoting professional growth, best practices and driving efficiencies
* Foster a culture of high performance, accountability and continuous improvement
Compliance and Risk Management
* Lead and ensure compliance with financial regulations and drive best practice in governance standards and reporting requirements
* Ensure robust financial controls are in place in tandem with proactive risk management
Commercial Support
* Act as a business partner across the sales, marketing and production teams to evaluate new opportunities and support decision making
* Build good working relationships and a solid understanding of all areas of the business from a manufacturing and commercial perspective
* Maintain effective communication with other teams within the business to ensure financial and business goals are met and aligned with organisational objectives
Investor, Banking and Stakeholder Relations
* Represent West Cork Distillers and its subsidiaries in financial communications with shareholders, financial institutions and external advisors
Ideal Candidate
* Proven experience with 10+ years as a CFO, Finance Director or Financial Controller in a manufacturing, FMCG or similar sector
* Strategic mindset with a hands-on, commercial approach
* Experience in working in a fast growing entrepreneurial environment
* Demonstrated success in managing multi-site operations or leading through mergers / integrations
* Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
