Job Title: Commercial Manager
A leading Civil Engineering Contractor in Ireland seeks an experienced Commercial Manager for a permanent position based in the Munster Region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee commercial management of projects from inception to completion, ensuring cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting are executed effectively.
* Prepare and review tender submissions, contract negotiations, and project proposals to achieve optimal outcomes.
* Manage accurate valuations, applications for payments, and variations to maintain project momentum.
* Submit timely and accurate cost reports and forecasts to senior management and clients, aligning with commercial objectives.
* Monitor project performance against budgets and schedules, ensuring financial and commercial targets are met.
* Collaborate with project teams to deliver projects that meet commercial expectations.
* Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure agreements that support project goals.
* Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
Requirements:
* Relevant third-level qualification completed.
* At least 5-7 years' experience as a Commercial Manager, with a strong background in managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
* Proven expertise in cost estimation, budgeting, and forecasting for civil engineering projects.
* Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
* Proficiency in managing project finances and reporting tools.
* Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving approach to managing commercial challenges.
* Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
