Head of IT - Dublin - Real Time Recruitment We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of IT to lead our organization's technology services, ensuring effective delivery and aligning IT strategy with overall business objectives.
Main Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement an IT strategy that aligns with business objectives and organizational directives.
Lead the planning and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity strategies to ensure minimal downtime.
Collaborate with Group IT to ensure alignment on shared initiatives and technology standards.
Technical Expertise and Operations:
Oversee the management and optimization of core systems, including Active Directory, SD-WAN, and Azure environments to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability.
Implement processes and technologies to safeguard data and maintain business operations during disruptions.
Drive digital transformation and operational efficiency through the adoption of innovative technologies.
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity:
Develop and maintain robust disaster recovery plans to mitigate risks and ensure minimal downtime.
Team Leadership and Development:
Manage, mentor, and inspire the IT team to achieve high performance and continuous improvement.
Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the department.
Vendor and Budget Management:
Manage relationships with third-party vendors to ensure optimal delivery of IT services.
Oversee IT budgets and ensure cost-effective investment in technology resources.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
Act as the key liaison between IT and other business functions to understand and support their technology needs.
Report to senior management on IT performance, strategic initiatives, and risk mitigation efforts.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, ideally within a larger organization.
Strong technical background with hands-on expertise in: SD-WAN implementation and management, Active Directory administration, and Azure cloud solutions and services.
Demonstrated experience in disaster recovery planning and business continuity management.
Solid understanding of IT strategy development and execution in a complex organizational environment.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
Experience managing IT budgets, vendor relationships, and large-scale IT projects.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team.
Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Relevant certifications such as ITIL are a plus.
