We currently have vacancies for an Assistant Accommodation Manager at the Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire.
The Deputy Accommodation Manager is responsible for supporting the Accommodation Manager with maximizing guest satisfaction by ensuring guest rooms are serviced, clean and replenished, gives work direction to housekeeping staff and maintains the teams high productivity.
This is a quality assurance role that involves maintaining the highest level of four star standards in guest rooms.
The ideal candidate must have: Previous leadership experience in a 4 star quality focused hotel Strong communication skills both oral and written A proven track record of driving standards in a similar role Excellent time management and organisational skills A working knowledge of computers A hands on approach Key Responsibilities Maintains excellent standards of housekeeping as per department SOP's.
Works closely with the front office department to ensure correct room status is communicated.
Ensures all maintenance requests are communicated clearly to the Engineering Team.
Deals with all guest request in a professional and timely manner.
Attends and actively contributes to scheduled meetings.
Hold a daily pre-shift meeting with team prior to their reporting to stations and ensures training is conducted.
Ensures that the office, linen room, floor storage rooms and trolleys are neatly maintained.
Ensures rooms are checked to the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance is reported.
Ensure that all checklists are being carried out by the linen porter, public area & night attendant.
Relieve other accommodation employee areas as and when necessary Ensures team are aware of all relevant information pertaining to daily events, group functions, and guest activities.
Enforces procedures for the acceptance, security and return on guest lost property.
Conducts inventories of linen, supplies and equipment as required.
