Position Summary
• Primary contact to Global Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Buyers, and Product Quality to perform supplier quality functions and activities for the purchase and control of Raw Material, Purchased Finished Goods (PFG’s), and Critical Services.
• Primary contact for communications with suppliers and supplier representatives for quality related matters.
• Lead Non-Conforming Event (NCE) investigation and resolution.
• Lead Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) investigation and resolution using problem solving methods.
• Lead Supplier Audits and be an SME on supplier controls for external audits.
• Update and maintain Approved Supplier List (ASL).
• Lead supplier quality improvement/development projects.
• Assist with the development of suppliers to provide reliable, trusting, and productive relationships.
• Primary contact to assigned BU and/or manufacturing site for the resolution of supplier issues, new projects, and acquisitions.
• Develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders related to supplier selection, evaluation and qualification, monitoring, and development.
Key responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) the following:
• Perform supplier compliance functions and activities for prospective new components.
• Perform supplier development activities with suppliers of defective materials including developing and executing Supplier Quality Plans, SCAR follow-up, and implementing Six-Sigma and Continuous Improvement methods and techniques.
• Resolve ineffective supplier corrective action plans with suppliers.
• Analyze and identify trends from quality data and develop proactive measures with supplier in support of continuous improvement and supplier development.
• Adhere to and ensure the compliance of Teleflex Code of Conduct, all Company policies, rules, procedures and housekeeping standards.
Education / Experience Requirements
• Four-year college degree, technical or engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working within regulated industries.
• Problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Statistical techniques knowledge.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485 & QSR 21 CFR Part 820.
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
• Excellent verbal communication.
• Excellent technical writing skills.
• Lead Auditor certified (an advantage).
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 - SharePoint online and Teams is a plus.
• Excellent training presentation skills.
• Team facilitation skills.
