We are seeking a highly organized Assistant Product Engineer with a strong focus on Sustainability to assist our Technical Team by ensuring all product data is collated and maintained, and that all products meet relevant regulatory and certification requirements throughout their life cycle.
This full-time permanent role will be based out of our Bluebell depot in Dublin. The role will involve a full 6-month induction training programme to enable the successful candidate to develop and fulfil their potential. This position is ideal for a college graduate.
Key Responsibilities:
· Maintenance of all Product Data to include detailed product information, technical data sheets, warranty policies & fitting and maintenance instructions
· Ensure all products meet relevant regulatory and certification requirements
· Identify new standards that would be beneficial to the success of the product
· Liaise with suppliers and the sales team to understand customers expected standards
· Assist with After Sales queries ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
· Monitor changes in certification standards and ensure compliance is maintained
· Manage documentation and records related to product certifications
· Assist Technical Manager to develop current and new product ranges
· Assess current range of products in relation to their sustainability and identify areas for improvement
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sustainable product strategies
· Research and generate recommendations for product design improvements
· Foster strong relationships with suppliers to align sustainability efforts and share best practices
· Conduct supplier audits to verify adherence to sustainability and certification standards
The Ideal candidate will have:
* An engineering degree is essential
* Knowledge of product management would be an advantage but it is not essential
* Strong Leadership skills
* Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, in particular, MS Excel.
* Highly organised with strong planning ability.
* Ability to work on own initiative as well as collaboratively within a team.
* Possess a proactive attitude.
* Strong problem-solving / analytical skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills to work with management and staff at all levels
