Job Overview
This new Operations Technician position in Waterford offers the opportunity to build your experience across operations, maintenance, and quality. Working as part of a busy Operations team, you will report to the Stability Lead while performing sample management activities.
Responsibilities
Operations
1. Receive and check customer deliveries to Q1 Scientific, highlighting any anomalies and ensuring secure, correct, and timely storage of such deliveries in line with customer requirements, regulatory and quality guidelines.
2. Take responsibility for retrieval, packing, and delivery of samples back to customers.
3. Perform daily checks on stability cabinets/room conditions.
4. Complete equipment calibrations, temperature, and humidity mapping (training will be provided).
5. Ensure the facility is kept clean and equipment and maintenance schedules are maintained as specified by QMS.
6. Liaise with external consultants and contractors.
7. Provide general admin support and any other duties as may be required.
Driving
1. Collecting, loading, delivery, and return of samples to customer sites throughout Ireland.
2. Coordinating with the Operations team to ensure delivery deadlines are adhered to.
3. Ensuring paperwork is correct for each delivery.
4. Driving company vehicle in a courteous and safe manner with regard to other road users and in accordance with road legislation, company policies, and procedures.
Quality
1. Ensure that all activities meet the quality standards specified by the Q1 Scientific QMS and in accordance with cGMP standards.
2. Review completed documents for compliance to specification and to ensure all entries are complete.
3. Produce and manage quality reports around deviations.
Qualifications/Skills
You must have a good attention to detail with:
1. Advanced level Microsoft Word and Excel skills with the ability to produce graphs and reports.
2. A good work ethic and be willing to work as part of a team or on your own initiative.
3. A positive attitude to work and a willingness to take ownership of projects.
Hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday – Friday, with some requirement to work outside of these hours.
Education, Experience & Licensing Requirements
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years’ work experience in a temperature-controlled storage environment (retail or warehouse), regulated manufacturing, or pharmacy environment with:
1. Experience working to standard operating procedures in a regulated environment (this is desirable and not essential).
2. Previous experience in picking and packing materials.
3. Experience using an inventory management system.
4. The ability to complete quality documentation/reports.
5. A full clean driving license.
