Job Description
A Data Manager P3 is required on an initial 11 Month basis by CareerWise Recruitment for our Dublin-based multinational Pharmaceutical Company.
As a Data Manager, you will play a key role in building animal data models, working closely with R&D leads and teams to explore the data that the products upload to our data platform. You will innovate new data features and work with data scientists to create innovative farm and animal KPIs promoting animal health and wellbeing. You will be responsible for data quality and integrity, ensuring our data is up-to-date and of high value.
The Data Manager will report to the Animal Data & governance lead within our Animal Health Data Labs organization.
Role of this position
1. Develop and implement data models revolving around animals.
2. Define and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and classification schemes.
3. Collaborate with marketing, veterinary professionals, researchers, data engineers, and data management teams to identify data-related requirements and ensure alignment with animal health objectives.
4. Monitor data quality and proactively identify and resolve data issues or anomalies in animal health records and datasets.
5. Conduct data profiling, analysis, and validation to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of animal health data.
6. Establish data documentation and metadata management processes for animal health records, diagnostic, and research data.
7. Provide guidance and support to veterinary professionals and researchers on data governance best practices and standards in the context of animal health
JOB REQUIREMENTS
8. Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Management or a related field
9. 5-8 years of proven hands-on experience working as a Data Steward, Data Manager, or similar role.
10. Proficiency in data quality, cataloging, modeling, analysis and metadata management.
11. Experience with data management tools and technologies, such as Collibra, Immuta and Data Bricks
12. Experience harvesting data from ERP and CRM systems such as SAP and Salesforce.
13. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to interpret and analyze veterinary records and diagnostic data.
14. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders.
15. Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize tasks in dynamic environments
Advantage:
16. Experience in Data Science or a related field.
17. Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine and animal health data management principles.
