The Job Details are as follows:
The Lead IT Service Engineer- CMDB is responsible for partnering with teams across OCLC to identify and implement opportunities to leverage the CMDB for workflow optimization. This role fills a critical part in configuration management for OCLC, coordinating application and infrastructure automation with a focus on speed, stability, and security. The Lead IT Service Engineer works collaboratively with all participants in software development and infrastructure support.
Responsibilities
1. Configuration Management Process Owner and ManagerTeams that actively use the CMDB include: Security, Operations, Monitoring, IT Tools, Infrastructure, Application Owners, FinanceCollaborate with the Enterprise Architecture team to evolve the CMDB model
2. Maintain the configuration management database, ensuring it is accurate and completeIdentify critical success factors, KPIs and controlsBuild reports to share status with all levels of the organizationImplement effective and efficient processes for keeping the data current, complete, and accurate
3. Ops & Tech ShowbackPartner with Finance to evolve the processes used to associate IT costs back to products and servicesThis position builds and maintains the relevant reporting and methods used to tie infrastructure to products
4. Ops & Tech Policy ManagementEstablish policies that apply to efficient and effective management of IT operationsManage the process for any exceptions to the policies
Qualifications:
5. Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
6. 5- 10 years of technical knowledge of IT Service Management practices and tools, including ITIL, Configuration Management, and ServiceNow
7. Data analysis and reporting – experience with SQL, Excel, PowerBI, APIs, etc.
8. Strong collaboration skills
9. Process engineering – effective, efficient, user-friendly
10. Executive level presentation skills
11. Organizational change management experience
12. Attention to detail
