Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of thermoforming machines, equipment, and associated services.
Key Responsibilities
* Safely isolate electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems before performing maintenance.
* Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical faults in thermoforming machinery.
* Identify skill gaps within the maintenance team and drive improvements in troubleshooting and technical expertise.
* Work closely with the engineering team to enhance machine reliability and performance.
* Accurately log maintenance activities and repairs in the Pragma system.
* Balance cost efficiency with stock availability to maintain an optimal inventory level.
* Track and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) to maximize productivity.
* Develop and implement preventive maintenance strategies to reduce unplanned downtime.
* Ensure all equipment is cleaned and maintained post-maintenance to maintain production readiness.
* Assist with the selection, installation, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
Qualifications
* Certified Maintenance Technician with an electrical background.
* Advanced/Higher Certificate is an advantage.
* Strong communication skills with fluency in both written and spoken English.
