Sales Business Development in Air Freight
Woodland Group Ireland is recruiting a Sales Business Development professional to join its team at the Dublin site, reporting directly to the Commercial Manager and working closely with the Sales and Operational teams.
This role focuses on driving new business through sales development, building relationships, engaging with clients, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. Focusing on sales of Woodland Group's Air Freight services, you will identify new markets and potential customers, engage in networking and cold calling, and utilize a consultative sales approach to attend meetings, understand customer needs, offer recommendations, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close new business deals.
The role offers flexibility to manage your own schedule, work from home and/or from our offices.

About the Role:
Proactively generate new sales and achieve maximum profitability against mutually agreed sales targets by profiling potential new prospects in global Air business development.
Develop Woodland Group's Air services, focusing on Asia/US trades.
Evaluate rate negotiations, service requirements, and potential meetings when dealing with high-profile customers or prospects, ensuring the Commercial Manager is fully informed.
Provide new and existing customer reports, ensuring accurate sales activity reporting and feedback on barriers and market intelligence delivery.
Communicate new customer requirements through Standard Operating Procedures to ensure relevant staff access to information.
Establish and maintain effective communication links with other business units to identify potential sales opportunities.
Maintain accurate records by logging all sales visits on Salesforce.
Awareness of company products and relevant sales techniques ensures the sales role aligns with Company values.
Analyze internal and external market information to enable business units to identify opportunities and develop products and services supporting business objectives.
Presentation consistency aligned with the Woodland brand.
Timely handling of customer communication.
Attend sales meetings and conferences as required.
Additional duties as required by management for departmental smooth operation.
