Matrix Recruitment is currently recruiting for an Electrical Instrumentation Technician for our client based in County Westmeath who specializes in the Construction industry.
They are a leading construction material supplier in both the Irish & Great Britain markets. Our client is currently expanding due to growing infrastructure investment plans and the strength of the residential and construction markets, this has now led them to expanding their team.
The Electrical Instrumentation Technician reporting into the Electrical line manager, will be key in maintaining analytical equipment, conducting preventive maintenance and drafting electrical drawings. The potential candidate will be encouraged to present new ideas aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and safety standards.
This is a permanent position with two different shifts available:
* Option of Monday – Friday 8am-4:30pm
* Option of a 4-shift cycle (12 hour Day & Night Shift)

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Maintaining analytical equipment, ensuring preventive maintenance is completed and continuous inspection to ensure H&S requirements are fulfilled.
* Drafting Electrical Drawings and scope project resources before execution.
* Assisting with commissioning of electrical projects.
* Ability in identifying problems & identifying the root causes.
* Ensuring all paperwork is completed in accordance with the equipment and projects and ensuring compliance is being followed.
What are we looking for?
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience in electrical maintenance or installation in a plant environment (preferably heavy engineering).
* Certified electrician is essential.
* Knowledge of industrial instrumentation installation and maintenance.
* Experience with the following: motor control circuits, Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC’s, HV motors & HV switchgear, weighing instrumentation & calibration and calibration of pressure, temperature, level & analytical equipment.
* Working conditions occasionally involve physical effort & exposure to the elements.
* Desired traits: planning & organising, attention to detail, ability to multitask, ensuring all compliance is followed.
