Job Title: Senior Dietitian for Maternity/Diabetes Services
The Rotunda Hospital is Ireland's oldest maternity hospital and busiest maternity service. We are seeking a Senior Dietitian to join our team in providing patient-centered care to women within their area of assignment.
About the Role:
This is a new position that has arisen due to increased demands within the diabetes service. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other dietetic and multidisciplinary team (MDT) members to provide high-quality care to patients referred from maternity and diabetes services.
Responsibilities:
* Plan, coordinate, and provide a clinical nutrition service to patients referred from maternity and diabetes services
* Work collaboratively with other dietetic department members and the MDT
* Develop, implement, and monitor care plans using evidence-based practice
* Participate in health-promoting activities within the hospital
* Assist in the development, implementation, and review of care pathways, policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines
Requirements:
* Registration as a Dietitian by the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU
* 3 years full-time post-qualification dietetic experience
* Annual registration on the Dietitians Register maintained by the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU
* Demonstrable knowledge and skills in behaviour change/motivational interviewing and telehealth platforms
Desirable Qualifications:
* Experience working in a maternity or diabetes setting
* Formal training in behaviour change/motivational interviewing
Working Environment:
The successful candidate will be based at The Rotunda Hospital, which provides a range of services including maternity, diabetes, and general medicine. The role requires flexible working hours to meet the needs of the service, including some evening and weekend shifts.
