About the Role
A leading company in the food manufacturing industry is seeking a Business Support Lead to oversee and optimize the daily operations of their business support team. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a high-impact leadership role, ensuring efficiency across logistics, telesales, finance support, and other shared business functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational excellence, team performance, and cross-functional collaboration, directly contributing to key business objectives.
Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a team of 8 professionals, providing coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
* Allocate tasks effectively, ensuring a balanced and productive workload.
* Foster a positive, high-performance culture that emphasizes continuous learning and collaboration.
* Handle HR-related matters for the team, including scheduling and holiday approvals.
* Oversee the completion of key administrative tasks, including:
* Daily customer communications.
* Ensuring financial processes are maintained with accurate reporting.
* Managing customer disputes and internal escalations efficiently.
* Ensure seamless order processing and deliver a positive customer experience.
* Act as a key contact for cross-functional projects involving Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Sales, and Finance.
* Ensure all operations align with company policies and compliance requirements.
* Provide accurate and timely reports to the Business Support Manager.
* Analyze performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement process enhancements.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Business Support, Admin, Commercial, or Supply Chain roles. Supervisory experience preferred, with a proven ability to lead and develop teams. Strong background in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, ideally within the food manufacturing sector. Experience in project leadership, process improvement, and operational changes. Demonstrated ability in coaching, mentoring, and professional development of team members. Fluent in English (written and spoken). Relevant business, administration, or supply chain qualification is advantageous.
