Content Specialist – Hybrid – Dublin
Global Talent on behalf of our Enterprise Tech client have a requirement for an Content Specialist to join their team. This is a PERMANENT position. The role is based in Dublin with a hybrid working model.
Working a 40 hours per week, the successful candidate will be employed as a permanent member of the team and will be paid a fixed rate plus bonus. The ideal candidate will be able to work an atypical schedule as required, including weekends, and will demonstrate a commitment to accuracy and consistency in their work.
Notes that all applicants must be eligible to work in Ireland and resident in Dublin to be considered for this position.

Summary of Role:
The main function of a content specialist is to surface the best content and conversations on a text-based social media platform, focusing on algorithmically sourced trending topics. The ideal candidate will have excellent editorial judgment, a strong command of social media, and a deep understanding of trending news and topics, as well as how they inform social conversations.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Review a range of content and topics, including news and entertainment from diverse users, publishers, broadcasters, public figures, creators, and influencers.
2. Identify and contextualize cultural trends and current affairs across a broad spectrum of themes.
3. Apply review guidelines to content at scale, maintaining a commitment to accuracy and consistency.
4. Use editorial skills to identify edge cases or guideline questions, escalating open questions or potential misalignments.
5. Learn and use internal editorial tools and communications systems.
6. Oversee selection decisions and respond to questions regarding guidelines or edge cases.
7. Collaborate with internal teams to improve user experience.
The ideal candidate will have:
* High proficiency in English – C1 Level minimum as per the CEFR.
* Educational background: Bachelor's degree required.
* Understanding of common social norms (social dynamics, social media, popular culture).
* Experience in social media, editorial, content creation, journalism, or digital media.
* Deep knowledge of the social media landscape, user-generated content, and text-focused conversation platforms.
* Experience with social discovery and/or social listening tools.
* Skills in editorial strategy and understanding of what makes digital content engaging and relevant.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong orthography and grammar skills.
* Foreign language skills are a plus.
Other Competencies:
* Ability to reference online resources, rephrase, and write cohesive, accurate, responsive, and sometimes empathetic answers.
* Ability to ask and/or answer specialized domain free-form prompts at university-level difficulty.
* Experience in data and trend analysis, and insights.
* Experience in developing and implementing a range of initiatives.
* Experience working in a constantly changing environment.
* Able to work independently and collaboratively; must manage multiple activities simultaneously and execute decisions with judgment and discretion.
