Senior Pharmacist Role
We are recruiting a Senior Pharmacist to provide effective, efficient, and safe pharmaceutical care to all patients in our hospital.
This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a high level of expertise and leadership skills.
Primary Responsibilities
* To ensure the highest priority is given to patient care and safety at all times.
* To participate in delivering and developing a clinical pharmacy service, including prescription reviews, patient education, and documentation of clinical interventions.
* To assist in managing the efficient running of the Dispensary, including the procurement, storage, supply, and dispensing of pharmaceuticals and other related items.
* To ensure best pharmaceutical practice, regarding legal and ethical requirements and best practice standards for the provision of Pharmaceutical services.
Key Requirements
* To be registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland or be entitled to be so registered.
* To possess the requisite specialised knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability and management ability, for the proper discharge of the duties of the role.
* To demonstrate excellent planning, organisational, and resource management skills, as well as leadership, interpersonal, and people management skills.
Desirable Criteria
* Formal management and leadership training or equivalent experience in management, training, and supervision of pharmacy staff.
* At least 3 years of satisfactory post-registration hospital experience.
* Significant, proven post-registration hospital practice experience, with broad clinical pharmacy experience and experience in line management.
