Oliver James have partnered with a Global Asset Manager with a superb reputation both locally and internationally on a newly created Third Party Risk Management position reporting into the Head of Function.
This role will focus on championing strong risk management across the business by using TPRM to work with both internal and external stakeholders to identify existing and potential risks to third parties the business and their clients while assessing controls to mitigate said risks.
The core responsibilities of this role and typical day-to-day will look like but not be limited to the following;
1. Assist with reporting and due diligence related to the business Asset Management Ireland Limited, the Management Company overseeing the business's Irish UCITS and Alternative Investment Funds.
2. Work with various internal teams to identify and address third-party risks, functioning as part of the second line of defence.
3. Oversee and analyse third-party performance and continuous monitoring data, providing comprehensive risk reports to internal stakeholders.
4. Evaluate and challenge third-party risk management processes and controls, highlight issues for resolution, and analyse data trends to inform senior management about potential risks.
5. Track and escalate high-risk issues encountered during due diligence for critical third parties, and collaborate with internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) during the risk assessment process.
6. Coordinate with Enterprise Risk Management to report significant third-party operational events and trends.
7. Collaborate with Enterprise Risk colleagues to compile risk reports for oversight purposes.
8. Offer guidance and support to the global programme, ensuring compliance with local regulatory expectations and directives concerning third-party risk management.
This position would suit a candidate with a minimum of 5 years Enterprise Risk experience within the Asset Management or Fund Administration industry who has a strong grasp of the regulatory requirements and cross boarder experience. The successful candidate will also be a self starter and have previous experience dealing with and managing relationships with regulators.
