Job Description: Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at a leading Fit Out Contractor in Belfast.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in high-end joinery and project management to work on exciting projects.
The successful candidate will take ownership of all aspects of each project, from enabling works through to practical completion.
You will advise on contract procurement routes, select appropriate contractors and professional teams, and provide project direction and consistency.
A key aspect of the role is to optimise schemes, ensuring revenue opportunities are maximised and the scheme is operationally efficient.
You will attend weekly internal team meetings to communicate work completed and next actions, as well as site visits to ensure progress is being made in line with programme and budget.
In addition, you will identify reasons for delayed progress and create practical solutions to resolve them.
You will also work with the Procurement Manager to challenge all suppliers to achieve best value procurement.
Responsibilities:
* Taking ownership of all aspects of each project under their control
* Advising on contract procurement routes and selecting appropriate contractors and professional teams
* Providing project direction and consistency
* Optimising schemes to maximise revenue opportunities and ensure operational efficiency
* Attending weekly internal team meetings to communicate work completed and next actions
* Visiting sites to ensure progress is being made in line with programme and budget
* Identifying reasons for delayed progress and creating practical solutions to resolve them
* Working with the Procurement Manager to challenge all suppliers to achieve best value procurement
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a construction project manager
* In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
* Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
* Good knowledge of MS Office
* Familiarity with construction/project management software
* A team player with leadership abilities
* BSc/BA in engineering, building science or relevant field
* PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage
Benefits:
