Job Description:
On behalf of our client, a global diagnostics company, we are currently recruiting for a Continuous Product Improvement Scientist within the CPI group. This is a permanent, full-time position predominantly site-based in the South Dublin/North Wicklow area. The role reports to the Head of CPI Projects.
Purpose of job:
To work in the Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) group for coagulation diagnostic products or other product lines as required. This position will be largely project-based and will entail a high degree of autonomy and initiative. All duties performed in a regulated environment where knowledge and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures within the Quality System is required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct scientific studies, analyze data and processes; develop, characterize, and make formal recommendations.
* Plan and execute experiments using design of experiment techniques.
* Reengineer existing processes or test methods to adapt to changes in market, business, and/or regulatory requirements.
* Work within cross-functional teams to identify key project/process or performance attributes and opportunities for product and process improvements.
* Coordinate and lead technical root cause investigations.
* Cooperate with other functional areas and groups within the company to achieve robust product supply.
* Participate in product transfer activities.
* Communicate progress on a frequent basis, presenting project updates to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
* Laboratory experience in biological sciences required.
* Demonstrated competence in biochemical techniques and statistical concepts.
* Experience working on projects and/or project management would be beneficial.
* Experience in the field of Coagulation/IVD industrial experience would be advantageous, minimum 2 years recommended.

* Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
* Shows good attention to detail and is an active learner.
* Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work with a sense of urgency.

Language Skills:
* Fluent in English, both written and oral.
