Member Services Officer - Full Time Permanent Position
Castleblayney Credit Union is a modern, member-focused credit union whose primary aim is to provide financial services that meet the needs and exceed the expectations of our growing membership.
We are seeking applications from highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals who want to be a key member of a high performing member services team in a growing organisation.
The RoleThe successful candidate will report to Operations Manager of the credit union and will be responsible for carrying out a range of operational and administrative duties that will contribute to the effective running of the day-to-day operations of the credit union while providing excellent member service.
Provide a quality service to the members in facilitating lodgements, withdrawals, loan applications, loan drawdowns as well as a range of office administrative duties.
Accurately and diligently handle cash; reconcile balances at the end of the day.
Work always in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner, preserving confidentiality and adhering strictly to all policies and procedures of the Credit Union.
Undertake relevant training as deemed necessary.
The ideal candidate will:
Have a relevant qualification in business/finance.
Have prior experience in working in a public facing role within a credit union or similar financial services institution (this would be an advantage but not essential).Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Be proficient in MS Office - Outlook, Excel, Word.
Be enthusiastic, proactive, and self-motivated with the ability to work as part of a team.
Possess excellent administration & IT skills and demonstrate attention to detail.
Be flexible and be able to respond to changing business requirements.
Have the ability to multitask while maintaining high standards.
Hold QFA/APA qualifications or equivalent desirable, or willingness to work towards same to achieve minimum competence requirements, as set by the Central Bank of Ireland for the credit union sector, and other relevant training required.
Have the ability to use discretion and sensitivity in dealing with members.
Have the ability to work as part of a small team while at the same time demonstrating initiative.
Saturday work will be a requirement on a rota basis.
The role will be based in our Castleblayney and Shercock offices.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
