Job Description:
Mechanical Site Supervisor
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor to join our team in the Greater Dublin area. This role is ideal for a professional with hands-on experience in mechanical site supervision, installation, and commissioning, who is looking to take on a key leadership role in managing high-profile construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Site Supervision: Supervise the installation of mechanical systems, including piping and fixtures for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids.
* Leadership: Lead the site operatives and apprentices, with support from the Operations Manager.
* Communication: Liaise with contractors, managers, and other stakeholders to ensure coordination and clear communication across all parties.
* Safety: Educate site operatives on safety protocols and accident procedures. Regularly inspect sites to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure quality workmanship from staff and sub-contractors, in line with MGMEs Quality Assurance Standards.
* Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of site activities and progress.
* Project Coordination: Work closely with the procurement team to manage material orders and delivery logistics.
* Testing and Commissioning: Oversee testing and commissioning activities as requested by the Senior Project Manager, Quality Assurance, and commissioning teams.
* Risk Management: Respond to site accidents in accordance with established accident protocols.
* Duty Hours: Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures to safeguard the wellbeing of yourself, staff, and visitors.
Requirements:
* Qualifications: Be a Time-Served Plumber with relevant qualifications.
* Experience: Have experience in a similar Site Supervisory role.
* Communication Skills: Be an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
* Pressure Handling: Have the ability to perform under pressure and meet project deadlines.
* Technical Skills: Possess a solid working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
* Licence: Hold a full, clean driving licence.
* Flexibility: Be flexible and open to travelling to various MGME project sites.
* Certifications: Hold valid safety certifications and documentation.
