Your New Role
As a Motorway Network Civil Engineer (Network Engineer), you will support the Renewals and Liaison Manager and the Lead Network Engineer in delivering the MMaRC Gen 2 Contract. You will manage sections of the contract, including public lighting maintenance and Instructed Works Orders. Your responsibilities will include managing public lighting maintenance, vehicle restraint system replacement, and EIWO’s. You will prepare contractor requests, method statements, and permits to work, book road space and gantries, submit MAR approvals, manage workforces, inspect site works, and update RMMS. You will also provide cover for the Support Engineer and assist with the Monthly Operations Report.
What You'll Need to Succeed
* Relevant Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent
* Practical knowledge of managing civil engineering projects, stakeholder liaison, health & safety regulations, and coordination of works
* Meticulous approach to administration and record keeping
* 3 years of operations and maintenance experience (advantageous)
* Winter maintenance experience (advantageous)
* Traffic management experience (advantageous)
* Excellent communication and IT skills
