Accounts Assistant
Our client is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their team. This role reports directly to the Accounts Supervisor and involves working onsite with the finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monthly bank reconciliations and accurate posting of transactions to the finance system.
* Supplier reconciliations, including central billing accounts.
* Cash handling duties, including bank lodgment reconciliations as required.
* Assistance with Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger on an ad-hoc basis.
* Dealing with finance queries and participating in ad-hoc finance projects.
* System reviews, process improvements, and efficiency measures.
* Additional duties to enhance financial skills and experience.
Requirements:
* A business or finance graduate, accounting technician, or part-qualified accountant with 2-3 years' experience in a similar finance role.
* Proficiency with MS Excel and accounting software.
* Willingness to learn and gain experience in a busy finance department.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and excellent analytical skills.
