Community Coffee Shop and Centre Manager Kilmore Quay Community Development are recruiting for a Community Coffee and Centre Manager Kilmore Quay Community Development Association CLG is an established community development group, which promotes the cultural, economic, educational and tourism activities in the heritage community of Kilmore Quay and its environs.
It is supported by Pobal under the Community Services Programme.
We now invite applications for the position of Community Coffee Shop and Centre Manager to work with the Directors of KQCDA CLG through the next phase of development in an expanding social enterprise.
The position will be based at the Stella Maris Centre, Kilmore Quay which includes a vibrant Coffee Shop, Meals on Wheels Service, Meeting Rooms and other facilities.
Key Responsibilities of the postAchieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, while developing the Centre and Coffee Shop as a venue of welcome for residents, visitors and community groups.
Manage the day to day activities in the Coffee Shop and Centre, allocating staff to meet operational needs.
Efficient management of purchasing, stock controls and waste management is essential.
Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation practices in accordance with policies and procedures.
Maintain updated records of daily, weekly and monthly revenues and expenses.
Ensure adherence to all HACCP and all Food Safety requirements, current Health & Safety regulations and maintaining excellent administration records.
Maintain the highest standards of performance, operational hygiene and motivate staff to achieve the goals of the organisation.
Communicate with local and other organisations to develop strong relationships and provide support and resources at the Community Centre.
Manager and promote the Centre as a venue for hosting social, educational, creative and informative activities
The successful candidate must have:
Relevant cooking qualification and experience in catering.
Demonstrable supervisory management experience- minimum 2 years.
Primary food hygiene level 2.
Management of food hygiene level 3 (desirable).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team Strong focus on Customer service Experience in cost control, pricing and reporting on income and expenditure Excellent Organisational Skills Excellent knowledge of HACCP Flexible to work up to 5 days over 7, including weekends Full Driving Licence
