Normal Place of Work: B.Fit Leisure Club at The Bonnington Hotel Dublin
Job Responsibility: To ensure that you work with The Manager and other team members to provide the highest possible standards of customer care, classes, gym profiles and programmes, cleanliness and advice to all customers. To ensure that membership and retail sales set by the Company are achieved and where possible exceeded.
Physical Requirements:
* Must be able to stand/walk for prolonged periods of time.
* Must be able to lift a minimum of 6kg.
* Pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, upward reaching.
Responsible To: Health & Fitness Operations Executive
Duties and Responsibilities:
* To ensure you are fully trained and regularly retrained in all operations of The Club.
* To monitor standards via customer feedback, mystery shopper programmes and ensuring the highest standards of delivery at all times.
* To assist with membership sales ensuring that sales targets are met if not exceeded.
* To assist with the delivery of sales and productivity.
* To participate in promotional events to build repeat customer visits and maintain renewal membership sales.
* To anticipate and meet customer’s needs, giving focus to exceeding customer’s expectations.
* To ensure the highest standards of customer care according to the philosophy of our customer care policy.
* To ensure that bookings for classes, gym profiles and programmes etc. are made in the most effective and productive manner possible, maximizing opportunities and ensuring that the bookings are correctly entered and always begin and end on time.
* To ensure you treat bookings and customer appointments with complete tact, discretion and confidentiality at all times.
* To ensure that you conduct yourself in a polite, courteous and professional manner when communicating with customers.
General Operational Standards:
* To always maintain The Club in excellent visual presentation, ensuring that retail displays are current and presented in accordance with The Club's retail standards.
* Ensure you observe the highest possible standards of hygiene and cleanliness at all times.
* Ensure you present yourself in the most attractive manner possible, observing the Company’s standards of presentation when on duty.
* To abide by The Club and Hotel Health and Safety standards and procedures. Report any hazards immediately.
* To ensure you understand and deliver The Club's core values, mission and customer promises, providing a consistent experience to every customer and guest.
* To develop to your potential and to improve skills and knowledge ensuring you remain up to date on all fitness trends.
* To assist in creating a harmonious environment, contributing to The Club's activities and changes as it evolves.
* Ensure you abide by the Company’s Ethical Standards ensuring that the comfort and safety of customers is your paramount concern.
* To maintain confidentiality of customer information and ensure that the high standards and positive reputation of the Company is enhanced and maintained.
Security and Stock Management:
* To carry out and ensure that you carry out all cash handling, till operation and banking procedures in accordance with the Company procedures.
* To check off and store products appropriately in accordance with Company procedure. Communicate any loss immediately to senior management.
* To carry out regular stock counts in accordance with Company procedure, and to carry out loss prevention practices to minimize stock loss.
Health and Safety:
* Reports to Departmental Head any Health and Safety hazards.
* Reports immediately any accidents that may occur to you, employees and guests.
* In case of fire and bomb emergencies, assists in evacuating employees and guests to the nearest exit point and the assembly point.
* Understand the hotel Fire/Bomb/Medical and General Safety procedures. Undergo training as required.
* Ensure that fire regulations are maintained by making sure that fire exits are not blocked and that any items do not obstruct fire doors.
* Keeps halls clear of rubbish, soiled linen and any other service equipment.
Maintenance and Security:
* Ensure lost and found items are turned directly into Housekeeping and the lost property procedure followed.
* Ensure safety and return of all keys and bleeps. Ensure you do not loan them to anybody else.
* Report immediately any matters concerning the security of guests to the Duty Manager.
* Ensure all equipment is well maintained and in proper working order. Report any malfunctioning or defects to equipment to your Supervisor or Duty Manager.
* Report all malfunctions to the Maintenance Department if needed.
* Ensure safety of guest property and report anything suspicious to a member of Management.
* Be vigilant for any suspicious persons that arrive into the club and/or packages left behind unattended.
* Reports Health and Safety hazards and complies with the health, safety, chemical and hygiene policy.
* Complies with set standards of behaviour, discipline and appearance within the club.
* Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
Other Responsibilities:
* To be aware of market changes and developing trends. Ensure that your fitness levels and knowledge of classes, gym programmes etc. continue to be up to date.
* To contribute ideas for the creation of seasonal and topical promotions that will appeal to all customers.
* To be involved with the execution of promotional events as directed by the marketing department.
* To co-operate with colleagues and share knowledge to the benefit of all.
* Understand and abide by Company and departmental rules, policies and procedures.
* To carry out other duties as requested by management from time to time.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: €12.80-€13.00 per hour
