The Commercial Manager takes overall responsibility for, to ensure that successful project outcome(s) are delivered while maintaining relationships and maximising the commercial this role, youll lead cutting-edge projects that set benchmarks for future generations.
What Youll Do: (Responsibilities) Support the business in developing and implementing commercial strategies for successfully winning bids and managing post contract activities by driving consistency of good valuation/commercial processes both pre and post contract Lead or provide commercial support to deliver expected P&L results across Contracts or Bids Initiate estimating and risk & value management of projects in a timely manner during the project life cycle, recommending appropriate mitigating actions on commercial/risk events at the earliest opportunity Liaise with the customer, and other 3rd parties on commercial issues, including the agreement of additional monies.
Cost and value management for project, ensuring appropriate systems and procedures are in place.
Identify unacceptable terms and conditions and negotiate contracts with clients and employers.
Have oversight of subcontractor accounts from onboarding, progress payments and final accounts if necessary.
Has detailed knowledge and experience of a project cost management system and can provide detailed guidance to others.
Devises innovative systems to control and monitor direct works cost and financial performance.
Devises and manages complex Project Cost Reporting systems, with associated capacity to interrogate data and identify trends Proposes actions in response to changes in client and stakeholder needs and expectations.
Able to devise, manage and monitor complex project cost reporting systems, with associated capacity to interrogate data and identify trends Able to facilitate risk management reviews, identify and classify project and business risks, reconcile the interaction of various risks, and propose and implement viable solutions Able to construct compelling arguments in pursuance of entitlements Skilled negotiator able to manage and lead a negotiating team in relation to complex projects, and secure acceptable commercial results Able to manage a dispute through any form of dispute resolution process with practical Knowledge and understanding of commercial legals What Youll Need: (Experience/Skills) Professional experience: Completed a relevant third level qualification 10 years commercial experience within the telecoms, utilities or civils industries Excellent communication skills Excellent analytical skills Experience with Bonds/warranties / Insurances (Benefits/Culture) Earn a competitive salary that reflects your experience and dedication in our innovative workplace.
