What you can expect in a typical day:
The role of the Warehouse Technician is to carry out day-to-day duties in the warehouse under the guidance of the Warehouse Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Unloading, checking and stocking all materials both inventory and non-inventory.
2. Preparing materials for issue to Capital Projects, Maintenance and Process teams.
3. Reconciling, rechecking and clearing receipt/invoice queries.
4. Performing continuous Inventory Stock Checks including entry, recounts and approvals.
5. Safe storage and handling of hazardous chemicals, gases and materials and delivering to point of use.
6. Operating tool crib and consumable stock and projecting materials through various systems.
7. Performing warehouse related duties for Plant Turnaround, Capital Projects and warehouse/inventory improvement initiatives.
8. Using Forklift truck for material handling, unloading and delivering to plant.
9. Performing all duties in a safe and responsible manner.

1. Strong understanding of inventory management systems and best practice.
2. Self-motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to work as part of a team.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to coordinate multiple activities, respond quickly to stakeholders and resolve conflicting priorities in an efficient manner.
5. Accept ownership and accountability and deliver on commitments.
Education and experience:
1. 3+ years Warehouse Technician experience in a similar environment is highly desirable – i.e. in a Warehouse where inventory is purchased and held to support the mechanical and electrical maintenance and development of the process plant.
2. Experience in Inventory Management on Oracle (or a similar ERP/Inventory Management system) plus Excel basics for stock control is desirable.
3. Chemical Handling or ADR training desirable.
