It is estimated that up to one in five people will experience some Mental Health problems in their lifetime, necessitating the expansion and evolution of Mental Health Services.
We are committed to providing progressive high standards of recovery-based nursing care to clients with a wide range of Mental Health issues, from basic to complex, severe psychiatric care needs.
Services include Adult, Older Adult, Psychiatry of Later Life, ID with a Mental Health Diagnosis, and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
CAMHS provides assessment and treatment for young people up to 18 years and their families experiencing Mental Health difficulties such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Reports to the Assistant Director of Nursing as relevant to the post.
Accountable to the Assistant Director of Nursing and Area Director of Nursing.
The purpose of this Clinical Nurse Specialist (Mental Health) post is to deliver care in line with the five core concepts of the role set out in the Framework for the Establishment of Clinical Nurse Specialist Posts, 4th edition, National Council for the Professional Development of Nursing and Midwifery (NCNM) 2008.
The successful candidate will work as a key member of the multidisciplinary Mental Health team, providing a patient/client-centred quality service to patients/clients.
This specialist practice will encompass a major clinical focus, including assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of care given to patients/clients and their families.
