Abbott Diabetes Care Kilkenny
Abbott Diabetes Care has opened a new site, in Kilkenny, that is at the forefront of Diabetes care with the latest technology, to manufacture FreeStyle blood glucose test strips and FreeStyle Sensors for use in diabetes management. Among Abbott Diabetes Care leading brands are the FreeStyle Precision, FreeStyle Lite and FreeStyle Libre systems.
What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
You will be working with cross functional teams, ensuring our PMs and corrective maintenance are effective and efficient. You will monitor, implement and maintain processes that help increase productivity. You will be an excellent communicator with all levels of the organisation and be able to work with a diverse set of individuals and teams. You have experience in working within a regulated environment and can work independently.
Responsibilities
1. Work with Maximo System Administrator to develop and manage KPIs and metrics relating to engineering services (and production as required).
2. Administering and managing departmental POs.
3. Working closely with Production Planners to arrange required downtime for maintenance activities.
4. Implementing required changes to Maximo system as per procedure.
5. Writing and managing departmental procedures.
6. Scheduling planned activities for process technicians.
7. Assess and highlight any potential issues with PM completion to relevant parties.
8. Providing necessary training on Maximo to new starters.
9. Produce reports on maintenance activities, both planned and ad hoc.
10. Providing KPIs, trending activities and presenting at site meetings.
Qualifications/Experience
* Efficiently use Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint essential).
* Level 8 (honours degree) in engineering or related.
* Experience with Maximo a distinct advantage.
* Maintenance experience desirable.
* Experience in a regulated environment essential.

This role reports to Orlagh Costello, our Engineering Services Manager. You will join Orlagh’s team of 11, working together to ensure reliable functioning of the production equipment.
