Fehily Timoney and Company is recruiting a Senior Environmental Scientist who works as an integral member of the Environmental Science team in either the Dublin, Cork or Carlow office, aiding the expansion of the environmental business and working closely with fellow professionals. This position offers exposure to a broad range of areas within the environmental sectors, including, but not limited to, planning and EIAR, waste management, infrastructure development, waste licensing and permits, industrial emissions licensing, and environmental due diligence.
FT's Responsibilities
* Project management and coordination of Environmental Impact Assessments, Strategic Environmental Assessments, Appropriate Assessments, planning application documentation and other environmental reports
* Provide expert environmental technical assistance to the business
* Actively participate in the delivery of business development initiatives
* Manage the implementation of regulatory approvals
Skills / Qualifications
* Educated to degree level in a relevant environmental discipline
* A minimum of 8 years post-graduate experience in an environmental position
* Chartered status in relevant discipline
* Excellent knowledge of planning, environmental and waste management legislation
* Experience with reports, planning and license/permit applications for a wide range of projects
* Excellent attention to detail
* Be flexible and a team player
* Excellent report writing and technical reviewing skills
* Experience of engaging with external stakeholders, regulatory bodies and sub-contractors
