Purchasing Assistant
A leading engineering company based in North Antrim has a new opportunity for a Purchasing Assistant to join the team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide administrative support to the purchasing department
* Assist with the procurement process, maintaining purchase records and liaising with suppliers and vendors
* Track inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of goods
* Ensure all purchases comply with company policies and procedures
Additional Responsibilities:
* Expediting orders, liaising with suppliers to reduce supplier lead times
* Identify delivery date issues affecting production and communicate with the scheduling department
* Maintain successful supplier relationships and resolve any order, delivery, or invoice issues
* Raise purchase orders for materials and services in line with production requirements
* Assist with cost-saving projects
Requirements:
* 2 years experience within a similar role
* Ideal experience working within an engineering environment, although not essential
